For our second winter showcase titled Winterberries II, we are featuring violinist Timothy Chooi, cellist Sophie van der Sloot, and pianist Chris Au - all musicians of international acclaim. They will be performing alongside contemporary dancers; jaw-dropping talents such as Jera Wolfe, Katherine Semchuk, Jessica Runge, Emily Spearing, as well as Derek Souvannavong. We are grateful to have Peggy Baker and Jera Wolfe choreographing something new for us this showcase, and to bring back a piece choreographed by Emily Spearing. 

Following the immense reception from our first Winterberries, we are delighted to welcome you to Winterberries 2 - a program that reflects a winter ever encroaching; full of longing, yearning, darkness, and a whirlwind of drama, but never without moments of beauty and hope. 

The second half will feature one of the most powerful and stirring piano trios ever written - the Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor by Felix Mendelssohn, performed by Timothy Chooi, Sophie van der Sloot, and Chris Au.
